He's been in office less than two weeks. But Britons are already putting money down on when U.S. President Donald Trump will be out. Hundreds betting he won't last a year. The division over his policies a godsend for bookmakers. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LADBROKES HEAD OF POLITICAL ODDS, MATTHEW SHADDICK, SAYING: "It's incredible how many people are betting, taking the 4/1 about him being replaced this year and even 11/10 on him being impeached or even resigning in the first term. When you think historically this would be incredibly unusual, there is only one president in recent history who has left under those sort of circumstances and that was Nixon, so yes, it's amazing how little faith people have in him being able to last his full term." Among the blackboard of 'Trump Specials' on offer at this shop in London, a wager on the former reality TV star serving a full two terms in office and odds on Trump's planned state visit to Britain being cancelled. Over 1.7 million people have signed a petition calling for the visit to be canned to avoid embarrasing Queen Elizabeth. Lawmakers will debate it on February the 20th. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MATTHEW SHADDICK, LADBROKES HEAD OF POLITICAL ODDS, SAYING: "That was 5/1 at the start of the week, that the visit would be cancelled, down to 5/2 already, so a lot of money being placed on that happening. And the best case scenario for Trump? Well, that he serves two full terms at 4/1. Historically that is a pretty generous price, the problem is you've got to wait eight years to get paid out for that." With thousands of pounds being laid down on various offers, bookmakers are hoping America's turbulent politics won't calm down anytime soon.
