In honoring African American History Month at the White House, President Trump praised pioneering African Americans, including Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks and Harriet Tubman. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Donald Trump met with African American leaders at the White House on Wednesday to honor African American History Month. "During this month, we honor the tremendous history of the African-Americans throughout our country, throughout the world if you really think about it, right? And this story's one of unimaginable sacrifice, hard work and faith in America." he said. He singled out for praise such prominent African Americans as Rosa Parks and Harriet Tubman. Trump described nineteenth century abolitionist and statesman Frederick Douglass as "an example of somebody who has done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more."
