ROUGH CUT - NATURAL (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, visiting Washington for a summit meeting with President Donald Trump, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia on Friday (February 10). The meeting and a news conference with Trump were scheduled for the afternoon. Earlier Abe told a U.S. Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting that he aimed to build a relationship of trust with the new U.S. leader and underscore the sturdiness of the Japan-U.S. alliance. "I would like to clearly demonstrate the unshakable Japan-U.S. alliance to the world," he said. The two leaders were expected to discuss, among other things, regional security and bilateral trade.
