No 2016 cash bonus for Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer. The company on Wednesday (March 1) saying that's the price for tens of millions of accounts that have been hacked under her watch. According to an annual filing, 32 million private profiles have been broken into in the past two years. That's on top of 500 million in 2014, and more than a billion the year before, when Yahoo was the victim of the biggest online security breach in history. The company says hackers have been using fake cookies to access peoples' accounts without passwords, and that some of the latest hacks are connected to "the same state-sponsored actor responsible for the 2014 breach". Yahoo says the fake cookies have now been invalidated, so they can't be used on other accounts. Mayer has also offered to forgo any equity award 2017.
