ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy were among the European leaders arriving for a summit of the European People's Party (EPP) in Malta on Thursday (March 30) morning. The centre-right EPP, Europe's most powerful political family, is holding a two-day annual congress on the island. The meeting is expected to focus on the post-Brexit EU. Also arriving for the Thursday session was former Italian prime minister and leader of the centre-right Forza Italia party Silvio Berlusconi. Merkel, Juncker and European Council President Donald Tusk are due to address the summit in the early afternoon. Other speakers at the event include Hungarian premier Viktor Orban, Ireland's Prime Minister Enda Kenny, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis.
