"I'm down for it," he told Reuters when asked about his chances at the race, after he was beaten into second place by Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel of Germany in the opening race of the season in Australia on March 26. Hamilton made the comment during a fan event in Beijing. Most of the "fans" in attendance said they had come specifically to see Singaporean pop singer JJ Lin, who also appeared at the same venue. The Briton has won four times in Shanghai. This year's Chinese Grand Prix will be held on Sunday (April 9).
