ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he's not a big fan of President Donald Trump's tweeting habits, but when it comes to his first 100 days in office, McConnell believes Trump is doing exactly the right thing for the country. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, McConnell says he's happy with Trump's "more assertive foreign policy." The top Republican also said he hoped to reach agreement "in the next few days" on a bill to fund the government through Sept. 30, saying it was too soon to talk about a short-term fix to avert a government shutdown at midnight on Friday. "We're hoping to reach an agreement in the next few days on how to process the entire bill through September 30th," McConnell said. "I don't want to speculate about whether that can actually clear this week."
