ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Britain wants the United States to take a leading role on addressing climate change, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said on Thursday (June 1), but he would not be drawn on what his response would be if President Donald Trump pulls out of the Paris accord. Trump is expected to say later on Thursday whether to keep the U.S. in a global pact to fight climate change, with a source close to the matter telling Reuters the President was preparing to pull out of the Paris accord. Johnson said the UK will continue to work with the U.S. "at all levels" to drive down carbon dioxide emissions.
