Comedian Kathy Griffin apologizes for posing in a photo holding what looks like President Trump's bloody and decapitated head. Trump responds to the controversy, saying she should be ashamed of herself. Linda So reports.

SOUNDBITE: COMEDIAN KATHY GRIFFIN, SAYING: "I went too far, I made a mistake, and I was wrong." Comedian Kathy Griffin posting an apology on Twitter after coming under fire for this controversial photo shoot. Griffin is seen holding a bloody and severed head resembling that of President Donald Trump. SOUNDBITE: COMEDIAN KATHY GRIFFIN, SAYING: "The image is disturbing. I understand how it offends people. I get it." President Trump responded in a tweet saying Griffin "should be ashamed of herself." The controversy began when celebrity photographer Tyler Shield posted this video from the photo shoot, showing Griffin slowly lifting up what resembles Trump's decapitated head. At the time, Griffin was unapologetic. SOUNDBITE: COMEDIAN KATHY GRIFFIN, SAYING: "Tyler and I are not afraid to do images that make noise." But the images quickly sparked backlash. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper who has worked with the comedian tweeted, "For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate." Griffin says she has asked the photographer to take down the images.
