SHOWS: AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND (JUNE 8, 2017) (ALLBLACKS.COM - ACCESS ALL) 1. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ALL BLACKS COACH STEVE HANSEN SAYING: "This is probably the hardest team we've ever had to pick, as a selecting trio. We had to make some tough decisions. A lot of people in good form, so some really good men have missed out. " 2. WHITE FLASH 3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ALL BLACKS COACH STEVE HANSEN SAYING: "Just to clear up some of the things, the injuries, replacements are there because obviously Dane Coles is suffering from concussion. More than likely that he's not going to be available at least for the first couple of tests anyway, so we've got Liam in for that. And our loose forward trio, two of them have broken thumbs. Both looking to be fit hopefully for the first Lions test. JK's hoping to be on the track next week against Samoa but and the need for preparation and good preparation, we need to bring players in just in case something goes wrong there." STORY: Injured All Blacks hooker Dane Coles was named alongside three Barrett brothers in Steve Hansen's All Blacks squad for the three-test series against the British and Irish Lions on Thursday (June 8). Like Coles, who has barely played this season because of knee and calf injuries and concussion symptoms, captain Kieran Read and fellow loose forwards Liam Squire and Jerome Kaino were also included in the 33-man squad despite not being fully fit. Five additional players -- centre Jack Goodhue, hooker Liam Coltman and loose forwards Akira Ioane, Vaea Fifita and Matt Todd -- have been named as injury cover. Uncapped fullback Jordie Barrett, flyhalf Beauden Barrett and lock Scott Barrett became the first trio of brothers to be named in the same All Blacks squad. The All Blacks will assemble in Auckland on Sunday (June 11) to prepare for a test match against Samoa on June 16. The first Lions test is on June 24.
