(SOUNDBITE) (English) ARTEMIS RACING HELMSMAN AND SKIPPER NATHAN OUTTERIDGE, SAYING: "I haven't seen the video yet but it just looked like I got a little flick off the back of the boat, you know these boats are turning quite quickly and in an effort to get the crew up quite quickly out of the tack we sprint across and just as I was crossing the centre of the boat, we straightened the turn which had me sliding off the off beam and into the water, and you know it's not the first time it's happened to myself or to probably many people on these boats and it probably won't be the last time either." STORY: Artemis Racing skipper Nathan Outteridge plunged overboard during an America's Cup challenger final race on Saturday (June 10), allowing Emirates Team New Zealand to get ahead and go 2-1 up in the first-to-five contest. Outteridge, who is an Olympic gold medallist in the physically demanding 49er skiff, slipped and shot off the back of his "flying" high-tech catamaran as it went through a high-speed manoeuvre on Bermuda's Great Sound. The two crews, who are going head-to-head in their quest to take on America's Cup holders Oracle Team USA, fought three fascinating duels in their catamarans. The winner of the series will challenge Oracle Team USA in the Louis Vuitton America's Cup Match next week.
