ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: President Donald Trump has no intention of firing Robert Mueller, the special counsel investigating allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign, the White House said on Friday. White House spokesman Sean Spicer said at a news briefing that while Trump "retains the authority" to dismiss Mueller, "he has no intention of doing that." Spicer did not rule out a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin when he was asked about reports the two leaders may hold talks on the sidelines of a Group of 20 meeting in Germany next month. "To the extent that we can work with Russia to solve some problems and to cooperate, if we can find that willingness then we'd like to do it," spokesman Sean Spicer said at a news briefing.
