'Most people would've taken that meeting': Trump defends son

President Trump defended his son at a Paris news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday, following the disclosure this week that Donald Jr. had met with a Russian lawyer who sought to provide damaging information on Democratic rival Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election campaign. ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: During a news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, President Trump defended his son who disclosed this week that he had a meeting with a Russia lawyer who sought to provide damaging information on Democratic rival Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election. "My son is a wonderful young man. He took a meeting with a Russian lawyer, not a government lawyer," Trump said. "I think from a practical standpoint, most people would have taken that meeting." President Trump is in Paris as the guest of honor of France's national day high profile military parade on the Champs Elysées.
