ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Stella McCartney showed a playful collection with a touch of the 80's at her runway show at Paris Fashion Week on Monday (October 2) . The British designer's collection featured washed-out denim in green and pink -- with half the looks topped with wrap-around shades -- and examples of the tailoring that made her name including double-breasted jackets. McCartney mixed the dramatic with the everyday, pairing floorlength taffeta ballgowns with oversized plain t-shirts. "There was denim that was really washed out, bold, 'bad' colors if you like, and then with these amazing ballgown skirts so it's about contrast," she told Reuters backstage. The designer is famously a devoted vegetarian and the collection also included high-waisted leather-look trousers and a dramatic black number with synthetic leather leopard prints.
