Justin Thomas eyes number one golf ranking

American golfer Justin Thomas is eyeing a climb up the rankings as he prepares for the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It's something I want to achieve and I think any or a lot of golfers also want to achieve that and I'm working hard to play the best I can every week and try and win the tournaments that I'm playing in that certain week but I guess all of the preparation all of the off-course preparation anything that I'm putting in I guess you could say is striving or trying to get to that number one spot." 5. CLUB HOUSE STORY: American golfer and world number four Justin Thomas said on Wednesday (October 11) he is eyeing the number one ranking as he prepares for the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thomas is going for his third straight CIMB Classic title, an event co-sanctioned by the PGA and Asia Tours. A PGA Tour player has not won an event three straight times since Steve Stricker did it at the John Deere Classic from 2009-11. Thomas returns to the golf course just days after helping the United States retain the Presidents Cup and after winning the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup and Player of the Year award.
