Angolan central bank keeps lending rate at 16 percent

LUANDA, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Angola’s central bank kept its benchmark lending rate unchanged at 16 percent following a policy meeting on Aug. 31, saying it was satisfied with the downward trajectory of consumer price inflation.

Angola’s inflation slowed to 29.01 percent year-on-year in July from 30.51 percent in June. (Writing by Olivia Kumwenda-Mtambo; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
