RUBBER-Tokyo futures rise after 3 days of falls

TOKYO, May 7 (Reuters) -

* The Tokyo Commodity Exchange rubber contract for October delivery rose for the first time in four days as Shanghai futures gained, jumping 4.3 yen, or nearly 3%, to 153.1 yen per kg by 0155 GMT

* On the Shanghai futures exchange, the rubber contract for September delivery rose 3.4% to 10,445 yuan per tonne

* The U.S. dollar was quoted around 106.22 yen, compared with 106.14 yen in late Asia trade the previous day

* Oil prices were higher, with Brent gaining 0.8% and U.S. crude up by 1.5%

* Japan’s benchmark Nikkei stock average was down around 0.2% (Reporting by Aaron Sheldrick)
