TABLE-Australia home prices rise 1 pct in Q4 - statistics bureau

    SYDNEY, March 20 (Reuters) - Prices for Australian
residential properties in the major cities in the December
quarter, released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on
Tuesday.
    A Reuters poll showed economists had expected home prices to
be flat, on median for the quarter on a weighted-average basis
across Australia's eight major cities. 
    Estimates ranged between a fall of 1 percent and a rise of
1.7 percent.
