Australian shares set to edge lower; New Zealand stocks fall

Sept 13 (Reuters) - Australian shares are expected to edge
lower on Thursday as financial stocks bear the brunt of an
ongoing inquiry into the sector, while mining stocks are
expected to be hurt by weaker commodity prices.
The local share price index futures fell 17 points
to 6162.0, a 13.9-point discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200
index close. The benchmark fell slightly on Wednesday.
    New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index fell 0.2
percent in early trade.
