BAE Systems sees 2019 earnings growth despite geopolitical uncertainty

LONDON, Feb 21 (Reuters) - Britain’s biggest defence company BAE Systems said its earnings would grow in 2019 compared to a flat 2018, despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty which could affect its business.

BAE said it expected mid-single digit growth in underlying earnings per share in 2019, compared to a full-year figure for the year ending December 31 2018 of 42.9p, roughly flat on the previous year and in-line with expectations. (Reporting by Alistair Smout, Editing by Paul Sandle)
