Turkey's BIM 2018 net profit jumps 45 percent to 1.25 bln lira

ISTANBUL, March 7 (Reuters) - Turkish discount retailer BIM posted a net profit of 1.25 billion lira ($230 million) in 2018, up 45 percent from a year earlier, it said late on Wednesday.

In a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange, it said sales rose 30 percent to 32.3 billion lira in 2018 and it forecast that sales would climb some 25 percent this year. ($1 = 5.4303 liras) (Reporting by Ceyda Caglayan; Editing by Daren Butler)
