BP expects Libya exploration with Eni to start in Q1 next year

VERONA, Italy, Oct 25 (Reuters) - BP expects to begin exploration with Italian oil major Eni in Libya in the first quarter of next year, the group’s CEO told Reuters on the sidelines of a conference.

“The agreement with Eni does not mean we are pulling out of Libya. We remain committed,” Robert Dudley said.

Dudley said the group had plans to expand in Libya and Egypt.

“We are looking at a couple of other things with Eni around the world,” he said but declined to say where. (Reporting by Stephen Jewkes; editing by Francesca Landini)
