Brazil loan defaults hit lowest in nearly 2 years in September

BRASILIA, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Loan defaults in Brazil fell in September to 5.4 percent, the lowest since December 2015, the central bank said on Friday as it reported no growth in bank lending last month.

Outstanding loans totaled 3.048 trillion reais ($926.81 billion) in September, unchanged from the previous month but 2.0 percent down from a year before.
