BRIEF-Brazil's Biosev says boosting ethanol output, cutting sugar

* Brazil’s Biosev SA, the world’s second largest sugarcane processor, said on Tuesday it is changing its production mix to boost ethanol output, consequently reducing sugar production

* Biosev, the Brazilian sugar unit controlled by commodities trader Louis Dreyfus, said the change is justified by a stronger demand for ethanol in Brazil recently and for better prices for the biofuel

* The company said in a statement that a recent change in taxation for fuels in Brazil favored ethanol
