BRIEF-Poland's PKO expects 2017 net profit to be higher y/y - CEO

Aug 28 (Reuters) - Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA:

* Poland’s biggest bank, the state-run PKO BP, will likely report an increase in this year’s net profit compared to 2016, the lender’s Chief Executive Zbigniew Jagiello said on Monday.

* In 2016 PKO’s net profit stood at 2.87 billion zlotys.
