BRIEF-Salmar Q2 operational ebit above forecast, sees strong quarters ahead

Aug 25 (Reuters) - Salmar Asa

* Salmar q2 ebit before adjustments nok 983 million (Reuters poll nok 929 million)

* Salmar expects to harvest 131,000 tonnes in Norway in 2017 (Reuters poll 129,000 tonnes)

* Generated gross operating revenues of nok 2.9 billion in quarter, up from nok 2.3 billion in same period last year

* Achieved an operating profit per kg gutted fish of nok 28.12 in q2, up 24 percent compared with the second quarter last year

* Salmar says measures to manage lice situation are costly, and a high treatment frequency rate will negatively affect production costs in coming quarters, but that other cost-reduction initiatives will offset this to some degreee

* Salmar says expects results in the upcoming quarters of 2017 to remain strong
