UK lawmaker proposes new UK-EU customs union as Brexit option

LONDON, March 26 (Reuters) - A British lawmaker has proposed a motion with other parliamentarians to compel the government to negotiate a new UK-EU customs union after Brexit as part of a series of indicative votes due to be held on Wednesday.

British lawmakers will wrest control of the Brexit process from the government in order to try to find a majority for an alternative way forward that could break the parliamentary deadlock.
