EDF again delays restart of Hunterston B8 reactor in Scotland

LONDON, May 8 (Reuters) - EDF Energy, owned by France’s EDF , has extended an outage at its Hunterston B8 nuclear reactor in Scotland to May 30 from May 14 regulatory data on the company’s website showed.

The reactor has been offline since last October after routine inspections found cracks in its graphite core and this is the third delay to its restart.

Neighbouring reactor Hunterston B7 has been down since March 2018 for the same reason and is due to come online at the end of June.
