Obama to discuss Wall Street reform at CEO meeting

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama hosted a dinner with officials from the Business Council, a group of top corporate chief executives, ahead of a speech to the full council he plans to give about Wall Street reform on Tuesday.

“The president will address the administration’s ongoing efforts to spur job creation and the important role the business community plays in our efforts to rebuild the economy,” the White House said in a statement.

“The president will also discuss the urgent need to pass Wall Street reform and address core principles of reform that will protect consumers and put in place clear rules of the road to help prevent another crisis,” it said.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and Obama economic advisers Larry Summers, Valerie Jarrett and Austan Goolsbee were all expected to be at Monday’s dinner. Below is a list of the executives expected to attend the dinner:
