Caltex Australia says EG Group offer undervalues the company

March 2 (Reuters) - Caltex Australia Ltd said on Monday that the A$3.9 billion-plus ($2.61 billion) takeover proposal from Britain’s EG Group undervalued the company.

Caltex Australia, a refiner that also run fuel retail outlets and convenience stores, said, however, it would engage further with the British firm for a potential transaction. (Reporting by Aby Jose Koilparambil in Bengaluru; Editing by Peter Cooney)
