Chile´s Codelco says maintaining production amid general strike

SANTIAGO, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Chile’s state miner Codelco, the world’s top copper producer, said on Wednesday it had maintained production despite a general strike that had shut down its Andina copper mine amid protests that have rocked the South American nation in recent days.

The miner said 6 of its 8 divisions were carrying on with the “majority of their operations”.
