Brazil to respond cautiously to China chicken dumping claim -source

SAO PAULO, Aug 18 (Reuters) - The Brazilian government will respond cautiously to an anti-dumping investigation opened by China against its chicken exports, a source at the Foreign Ministry told Reuters on Friday.

Brazil wants “to avoid a crisis” ahead of an upcoming visit by President Michel Temer to China for a multination summit. Officials from both countries will discuss the chicken anti-dumping matter next week, the source said. (Reporting by Lisandra Paraguassu; Writing by Ana Mano; Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
