China securities regulator warns of further bond default risks

BEIJING, May 18 (Reuters) - China’s securities regulator said on Friday that exchanges should pay close attention to risks following a recent spate of bond defaults in the country’s markets.

Exchanges should conduct relevant monitoring and research due to the potential for further bond defaults, the China Securities Regulatory Commission said at its weekly news briefing. (Reporting by Xiaochong Zhang; Editing by Kim Coghill)
