China recent stock market fluctuations driven by investor sentiment- c.bank gov

BEIJING, Oct 19 (Reuters) - China’s recent stock market fluctuations are largely driven by investor sentiment, and the current equity valuations are not in line with sound economic fundamentals, the country’s central bank governor said on Friday.

The central bank will roll out targeted measures to help ease firms’ financing problems and encourage commercial banks to boost lending to private firms, governor Yi Gang said in an interview with Financial News carried by the central bank’s website.
