DHAKA, June 15 (Reuters) - Bangladesh has lifted a ban on 14 players after they cancelled contracts with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL).
Former captain Habibul Bashar, batsmen Shahriar Nafees, Aftab Ahmed and Nazim Uddin and all-rounder Farhad Reza were among the 14 who applied to return to the national team after scrapping contracts ahead of a June 15 deadline.
Bangladesh slapped a 10-year ban on the players after they joined the ICL last year.
The country’s cricket board said on Monday the players could return to domestic competition immediately and to internationals when selected.
