Cricket-Australia set Sri Lanka target of 516 to win second test

CANBERRA, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Usman Khawaja completed his eighth test hundred before Australia declared their second innings closed on 196-3 in the final session of the third day on Sunday to set Sri Lanka a target of 516 to win the second test at Manuka Oval.

Khawaja remained unbeaten on 101 and added 159 for the fourth wicket with first innings centurion Travis Head, who was 59 not out when Australia captain Tim Paine called them in.

Australia, who lead the series 1-0 after their win in the opening test in Brisbane, bundled out Sri Lanka for 215 earlier in the day to take a first innings lead of 319. (Reporting by Sudipto Ganguly; editing by Greg Stutchbury)
