Oct 23 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2100 GMT on Wednesday:
** Private equity firm Apollo Global Management said it had signed agreements to buy a 48.67% stake of Italian gaming company Gamenet, with the aim of delisting the group.
** German real estate lender Aareal is open to talks with potential buyers of its software business Aareon following calls from an activist investor to consider a sale, people close to the matter said.
** Russia’s state-controlled lender VTB wants to sell a 10% stake in VTB Africa, its Angola-based unit, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Andrei Kostin said.
** French media company Banijay is close to sealing a deal to acquire Endemol Shine, the production house behind global television hits as “The Voice” and “Black Mirror,” a source close to the matter said on Tuesday, confirming earlier media reports
** A deal to save Britain’s second largest steelmaker British Steel from collapse is in jeopardy as exclusive negotiations with Turkey’s military pension fund OYAK approach a deadline without an agreement.
** SoftBank Group agreed to spend more than $10 billion to take over WeWork on Tuesday, doubling down on an ill-fated investment and giving a near $1.7 billion payoff to the U.S. office-space sharing startup’s co-founder Adam Neumann to relinquish control.
** France’s Societe Generale has put its leasing unit in the Nordics up for sale as part of a plan to exit non-strategic businesses and keep capital ratios strong, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
