DS Smith says first-qtr volume growth helped recover input costs

Sept 4 (Reuters) - British packaging group DS Smith Plc said on Tuesday comparable volume growth in the first quarter helped it recover from higher input costs.

The FTSE-100 firm, which supplies to companies including Amazon.com Inc and British fashion chain Next Plc , had previously flagged higher costs from a surge in paper and pulp prices.
