EDF says new anomalies found in Creusot documentation, no risk for safety

PARIS, Aug 24 (Reuters) - EDF has sent to French nuclear regulator ASN reports which highlight previously unknown anomalies in the tracking documentation of nuclear plant components manufactured by Areva-owned foundry Creusot Forge, but the utility said these anomalies represent no safety risk.

EDF said in a statement on Thursday that nine dossiers have been sent to the ASN so far, confirming comments by the ASN on Wednesday.

The regulator earlier this month ordered EDF to review the documentation of all Creusot-made components by the end of 2018. The review for each reactor must be sent to the regulator two months before it can restart following a refueling stop.
