Thai utility EGCO sees flat revenue growth in 2010

BANGKOK, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Electricity Generating PCL (EGCO) (EGCO.BK), Thailand’s second-largest private power producer, said on Friday it expected 2010 revenue to be close to 2009 as it has only one new power plant to come onsteam next year.

Its 25 percent owned Nam Theun 2 power plant in Laos was expected to begin operations on March 15, 2010, delayed from Dec. 15, 2009, a company executive told reporters. The utility firm was looking for an opportunity to invest in Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines and expected to get about 2-3 projects next year, he said.
