Egypt's core inflation increases to 8.83 pct yr/yr in August - cenbank

CAIRO, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Egypt’s core inflation edged up to 8.83 pct year-on-year in August from 8.54 percent in July, the central bank said on Monday.

Inflation jumped after Egypt devalued its currency in November 2016. It reached a record high in July 2017 on the back of energy subsidy cuts but has eased since then.
