EnQuest 2017 core profit slightly above expectations

LONDON, March 20 (Reuters) - North Sea-focused oil group EnQuest reported 2017 core profit of $303.6 million on Tuesday, slightly beating analysts’ expectations as it embarks on reducing its debt of around $2 billion helped by the ramp-up at its Kraken field.

Analysts had expected earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of $296.26 million according to the Reuters smart estimate.

In 2016, its core profit was $477.1 million. (Reporting by Shadia Nasralla, editing by Louise Heavens)
