EU banking watchdog scrutinises lenders' coronavirus contingency plans

LONDON, March 10 (Reuters) - The European Union’s banking watchdog said it focusing on ensuring that banks can continue with their activities and was in contact with members on what further steps to take.

“Our current focus is on banks’ contingency plans and their ability to ensure business continuity, which is of utmost importance at this stage,” a spokeswoman for the European Banking Authority said.
