EU leaders fail to agree on top jobs - sources

BRUSSELS, July 1 (Reuters) - European Union leaders on Monday failed to agree on who should next hold the bloc’s top positions, an official said.

Asked, after summit talks were suspended, what the main sticking point was, the official said: “The whole package.”

A diplomatic source said separately that reservations from Italy, Croatia, Latvia and Hungary prevented an agreement. (Reporting by Gabriela Baczynska and Belen Carreno; editing by John Stonestreet)
