Fortum's Q2 profit beats forecasts

July 19 (Reuters) - Fortum beat second-quarter profit expectations on Friday boosted by higher power prices and increasing volumes in electricity generation from the Finnish utility’s hydro and nuclear power assets.

Fortum’s core operating profit rose 32 percent to 372 million euros ($419 million), beating the 315 million expected by analysts in a Refinitiv poll.
