Germany unlikely to see second economic slump due to coronavirus - govt advisor

BERLIN, June 23 (Reuters) - The German economy is unlikely to face a second economic slump due to the coronavirus pandemic, the head of Germany’s council of economic advisors said on Tuesday.

Lars Feld, head of the panel that advises the government of Europe’s largest economy, also said he thought a second wave of coronavirus infections with a second economic lockdown could be avoided. (Reporting by Michelle Martin Editing by Michael Nienaber)
