IMF approves one-year extension of Ghana aid programme -sources

ACCRA, Aug 30 (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved an extension of an aid package for Ghana initially worth $918 million that will see the programme continue for an extra year beyond its original April 2018 end date, IMF sources told Reuters on Wednesday.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Fund’s executive board that also approved the next tranche of balance of payment support following the fourth review of the West African nation’s programme.
