Kazakhstan's Halyk Bank posts 20% jump in Q1 profit

ALMATY, May 14 (Reuters) - Halyk Bank, Kazakhstan’s largest lender by assets, posted a 20.1 percent increase in first-quarter net profit on Tuesday buoyed by higher interest income.

Net profit rose to 74.5 billion tenge ($196 million) from 62.1 billion a year earlier.
