Bavaria to hand small firms funds immediately to cope with coronavirus

BERLIN, March 17 (Reuters) - The German state of Bavaria will pay out funds to small companies immediately to help them cope with the economic impact of the coronavirus, Bavarian Economy Minister Hubert Aiwanger said on Tuesday.

“These (companies) will get money transfers this week,” Aiwanger told reporters in Munich, adding that the finance ministry was giving regional governments money to pay out to people. (Reporting by Paul Carrel Writing by Madeline Chambers Editing by Scot W. Stevenson)
