EasyJet says has not requested funding, after German state aid report

LONDON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Britain’s easyJet said it had not made a formal request for funding after business magazine Wirtschaftswoche reported that it was in talks with Germany about receiving state aid.

“No formal request for funding (has) been made,” an easyJet spokeswoman said in an emailed statement.

The airline has regular contact with governments in countries where it operates about which support measures are available to help during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We continue to talk to all of these governments on an ongoing basis,” the statement said. (Reporting by Sarah Young; Editing by Edmund Blair)
